Response from Jonathan: Unfortunately there is no good way to get rid of the screen burn. Your best option is to find another tube that’s compatible with your monitor chassis and swap it in place of your current tube. Old tubes can be found on Craigslist, at TV repair shops or even at your local junkyard. There’s some great information about how to get the ohms (or resistance) measurements off your tube at https://web.archive.org/web/20080705201439/http://www.8liners.com/datatech/monitor.html. All you have to do is find another tube that matches the ohms, neck size and socket pinouts of your current tube and you’re in business. There is also a nice list of donor TVs for arcade pictures tubes here: http://junknet.net/donor-tvs. Those resources should help you find what you are looking for.

Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
