Monitor issue.

Question from Chase: Hey guys, I’m encountering an issue that doesn’t seem to be covered by your youtube series/ website. (perhaps I missed it, if I did please point me in the right direction)

Anyways, the issue I’m encountering is that 90% of my monitor is stable, but the horizontal hold in the uppermost 2″ of the screen seems to be way out of whack. Would this be the caps on my chassis that need replacing?

I’m using a WG K7000 monitor, and I bought a cap kit from Bob Roberts but it doesn’t appear to have the “chiclet” caps included within.

My monitor looks like this: https://s132.photobucket.com/albums/q25/chromizone_2006/?action=view&current=0727001900.jpg

Any advice is appreciated, It’s a gift for my friend so I’d really like to get it repaired.

Cheers,
Chase

Response from Tim: Couldn’t really tell from the pic, but if it’s at the top of the screen its more than likely a vertical problem. Maybe a vertical cap or vertical sync problem.
The chiclet caps prob arent it. Did you do the cap kit yet?
