Monitor issues
Question from Chris: Hey Tim and Jon. Thank you for taking the time out of your schedules to help out the arcade hobbyist out there. I used your videos to help me do a cap kit in my area 51/maximum force combo cabinet and my sharpshooter cabinet. Without your helpful videos I more than likely would have gotten a nice shock removing the anode cup as I didn’t know a monitor had to be discharged until I watched your video. The reason I did the cap kit was because on both cabinets there is about a 2 inch section at the very top of both screens where there is lines that go side to side and the area in between those lines seems distorted. After doing the cap kit those lines still exist on both games. Is there caps missed that the cap kit didn’t cover that maybe need replaced or is this a vertical IC issue? I believe both chassis were Wells Gardner. Keep up the great work and hopefully you spend more time playing the game than fixing it.

Response from Tim: The caps you needed should have been in there. It could be your horizontal starting to fail and those are those chiclet orange rectangular caps sometimes you have to replace them or your vertical IC is starting to fail like you said. Can you take a pic for me?
Tim
