monitor problems
Question from Duke: Hi there guys.
I contact you from New Zealand , I have watched some of your you tube videos and must say you guys are pretty awesome!!
I have just bought a Namco Cyber Commando game and have the following issues I was wondering if you could help with?
# Sometimes my screen goes….sometimes it does not?
# When it does go it turns off after about 10 seconds?
# If by chance it stays on fror longer I have a large bunch of lines accross the bottom?
Do you think it might be stuffed or is the a fix

Response from Tim: Duke it could be a bad solder joint or perhaps it needs a cap kit….Try this….unplug your board and just turn it on so that only the monitor is on (you might need to turn the brightness up to get a white screen so you can tell its on) see if it goes blank or those lines come up with no game board hooked up…then we will know its your monitor and you can install a cap kit.
Also check your voltages coming off your power supply make sure you are ok there.
