Monitor Repair
Question from Jeff: I have a Mortal Kombat game in a Dynamo cabinet. The prior owner replaced the driver board for the monitor with a separate non-integral board. Works fine. The prior owner said he had someone cap the existing board and they messed it up. Would it be possible to send the existing board to you guys to repair? What would it cost? Would like to get closer to the original set-up. Jeff

Response from Jonathan: Jeff,
Unfortunately we are not taking any monitor repairs at this time but we do have several people we recommend. Chad at arcadecup.com is a very reputable guy and has a pretty fast turn around time. You could also contact our friend Arthur at highscoresrepair.com. He has answered several questions on our Facebook page in the past and definitely knows what he’s doing. There is a list of additional monitor repair technicians on our resources page under the Monitor Repair Services & Information heading as well. Keep in mind that you will need to remove the monitor chassis to send it off for repair. Check out our posts on Safely Discharging An Arcade Monitor and Removing And Installing A Monitor Chassis for more information on this process.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
