Need help
Question from Danielle: Hi, I saw your videos on YouTube and I was hoping you could offer a suggestion. I have a Multicade and the screen has a wavy line moving horizontally across it. The game will still play but it is hard to do with the screen. Any Suggestions? There is only 1 person that repairs them here and they want like $600 to check it. I can send you a video if it will help. Thank you, Danielle

Response from Jonathan: Danielle,
Wavy lines can be caused by a number of issues including improper grounding (i.e. ground prong missing from the power plug, grounding clips not being properly installed inside the game, etc.), frayed or broken wire connections, monitor chassis issues, the list goes on. A video will definitely help us narrow down what is causing the issue. Send a video to us when you can and we’ll help you further troubleshoot your issue.
Also, where are you located? We might know some people in your area that can repair this issue for less than what you’ve been quoted. We would also like to know who quoted you the $600 to check it out. This amount seems high especially if it doesn’t include the repair itself. We would probably charge somewhere in the neighborhood of $150-450 for this repair depending on what’s causing the issue. The absolute max would be $450 and for that amount we would just replace your monitor with a new 19″ LCD. Of course, the cost could go up if the monitor that’s in your cabinet now is bigger than 19″.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
