NFL Blitz
Question from Rico: Hi, I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. My screen color is great and so is clarity but every once in a while the screen will shake and expand. If I hit the side of the cabinet, it pops back into place. Any ideas?

Response from Jonathan: Rico,
It sounds like you’re having some connection issues with your arcade monitor. We would start off this repair by making sure that the video wires that run from the JAMMA harness (that’s connected to the NFL Blitz board) to your monitor chassis are making a good connection. Check the connectors to make sure they are pushed down on the pins and that the wires themselves are not damaged or frayed. Sometimes the wires will come loose from the pins inside the connector. Make sure that this is not the case with your video wires.
If the connector and the wires are connected properly then you might try touching up some of the solder joints on the monitor chassis. Specifically look for any joints that may be cold and/or cracked. By doing this, you will ensure that the correct voltage is flowing to all the different parts of your monitor chassis.
Now, if you touch up the solder joints and you continue to have problems then you might be having some electronic components fail on your monitor chassis. At this point, we would recommend Installing A Cap Kit to see if it helps the issue. You might want to also check the components in the power supply section of your monitor chassis at this point as this does sound more like a voltage issue. Of course, feel free to contact us again if you continue to have issues at this point or if you have any additional questions.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your questions and good luck with your repair.
