nice DVD’s, HAPP arcade CRT questions
Question from Scott: I just discovered your set of DVDs and purchased all of them last night. I can’t wait to get them. I have been watching and learning some stuff on YouTube from your videos. Very awesome. Thanks for all that great info. I am getting into, and starting to learn about the JAMMA stuff and old arcade games. I grew up playing the games in the 1980s in the arcades and anywhere else I could play them. So I want to learn a lot more about all this so I can own some of my own and maybe even buy and sell a few of them (just on Craigslist).
Well, anyway, I recently picked up some JAMMA stuff (like wiring harnesses, power supply, PCB for a game, etc.) and a (new) unused HAPP 13″ arcade CRT that was bought back like 10+ years ago by a local fellow who was into selling, renting and making his own arcade machines. It just came out of the box. He had purchased like 10 or a dozen of them, and this was this last one that was new.
I know these CRTs can be dangerous and honestly they scare me a lot. I have watched some videos about them now (so I am not quite as intimidated about them now) but I was hoping I could chat with you on the phone sometime about this arcade monitor (or really any typical arcade monitor for that matter). When might you have time to chat about it with me?
Thanks
-Scott

Response from Jonathan: Scott,
First off, thank you for ordering our DVDs. I’ll get them in the mail later this week. They should be arriving in your mailbox very soon.
As for your question, yes we should be able to set up a time when we can talk on the phone with you about arcade monitors. We are available most days between 6-10 PM CDT but that can vary based on our work and personal schedules. Please let us know if there is a specific day and time that works better for you and we’ll try to make the appropriate arrangements.
Now, it is usually easier for us to respond to email instead of talking on the phone. You are more than welcome to send any questions via email and we will try to answer them when we get some free time. You can reply back to this email or you can send your questions to our main address at questions@arcaderepairtips.com. If you reply to this email, your response will only be sent to me. If you send your email to the main address, it will get distributed to the rest of the staff as well who may be able to respond faster than I can. Of course, the choice is up to you and we’ll be happy to help you out in any way that we can.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your future projects.
