The message you are getting “check cable no signal” is usually indicative of a connection issue between the main board and the monitor. Make sure that the cable (or all the wires depending) that connects these two parts of your cabinet is making a good connection. If the connection is being made by loose wires, check to make sure they are all properly installed in the connector that plugs into your monitor chassis. Sometimes wires can wiggle loose from these connectors which can cause connection issues such as this. Also, sometimes the pins on the input connection on the monitor chassis can come loose over time which is usually caused by cold or cracked solder joints. You can try touching up the solder on these joints on your monitor chassis to see if that helps your issue as well.

If you are sure that the connection between the monitor and the main board is good then you could have a problem with some of the parts on your monitor chassis. At this point, you might try to identify what monitor chassis you have by using the What’s My Monitor page on Bob Roberts site. Once we know the make/model of your monitor chassis we can help you with some more specific troubleshooting techniques. Of course, you could also send your monitor chassis out for repair to one of the people we have listed on our resources page under the Monitor Repair Services & Information heading if you do not feel comfortable doing this type of repair yourself. Keep in mind that you will have to remove the chassis and ship it to them to get it repaired.
