Question from Anthony: Hey guys, after doing a ton of research you guys seem to be the most knowledgeable when it comes to repairing these old arcade games so I’m hoping you can help…

I just acquired an old Atomic Punk jamma, and its works, ‘cept the horizontal pot’s broken so it can’t be adjusted and the picture’s off a little, so I was just thinking about putting in a 19″ lcd I already have, what I don’t get is how come it looks like there’s 2 transformers (in GREEN in the enclosed pic) instead of 1, and what are the 2 black boxes that say FUSE on them (circled in RED) for? If I was to install an LCD and a video converter, would I still need to have a transformer? I was under the assumption that it was for running the old CGA monitors, and the switchable PS was for the pcb board, and switches? I figured I might as well install a new Jamma harness while I’m at it too, and I’m a little confused on how it’d be connected to the transformers if I did still need to keep them.
