Question from Mark: ummm… i am trying to setup my sf2 hyper fighting jamma board
i have a kick harness that fits in one slot. is that all i need for both players to have 6 buttons?
do you have a video that shows this?
also can i use a computer psu with a negative 5 for my power?
any videos on hooking up an lcd screen instead of a crt? could i use any crt? is there a list of compatible ones?
my sound on my mk2 is reading bad roms. is that because im not getting a reading on my -5 volt?
do you know of anywhere where i can get a soundboard for mk1??? i cant find it anywhere.

Let’s take your questions one at a time, shall we…
1.) In order to hook up your board, you will need a JAMMA harness and the kick harness that you referred to. We do not have a video that currently shows this but we do talk about it a lot on our website and in our podcast episodes. I would suggest you check those out for more information.
2.) Fortunately, I don’t believe Street Fighter 2 uses the -5 VDC line so you could technically use a computer power supply for it. Just remember that you will need to have the power supply jumpered so that it comes on automatically when the game is turned on. Our recommendation is always to use an actual arcade power supply over a computer power supply. 3.) Again, no videos on hooking up LCD screens instead of CRTs but this is another topic we talk about extensively in our podcast episodes. You can’t use just any CRT monitor in an arcade cabinet. It has to be one that’s compatible with the video signal your game is putting out (in this case it would be 15 kHz). With that said, there is a video converter board made by Gonbes (model GBS-8220) that will convert an arcade boards signal so that you can use it with pretty much any computer monitor. 4.) The bad roms on your MK2 should not have anything to do with the -5 VDC line (but you will need this line hooked up to get sound). You probably either have a bad connection to your sound board or a bad sound board altogether. Our friend Bob Roberts at therealbobroberts.net has MK2 sounds boards for sale. You have to send him an email with what you want and he will send you back a total price. There is a handy tool that will help you generate this email at orderfrombob.com. Just do a search on the page for NBAs/MK/MK2 Sound Board PCB and you should be set.
