Looks like your Pac Man is having some sort of monitor issue. We recommend starting off with the focus adjustment on your flyback to see if that helps the issue. Check out our post on Adjusting An Arcade Monitor for more information. If you try adjusting it and the picture doesn’t get any better then you could have a problem with your flyback, some bad transistors on your monitor chassis or even an issue with your tube.

At this point, you will need to identify what brand/model of monitor chassis is currently in your game. The What’s My Monitor page on Bob Roberts site has several pictures that you can compare your chassis to in order to determine this. From your picture, I’m guessing that your monitor is an Electrohome G07. If this is the case, you might try replacing the X901 and X902 transistors as these have been known to cause blurring issues such as this. Other than that, you might need to replace your monitor tube or get it rejuvenated to fix your issue.
