[] Street Fighter C Board HELP []
Question from Andre: Its me again, Andre from Tacoma, Wa. I did happen to come across a Street Fighter Alpha 3 A/B board on KLOV thanks to you giving me the heads up!! Now just have to wait for it to come in the mail. Let me catch you up to speed, I was looking to swap out my modded EPROMS (on my CE board) with Hyper Fighting and found a guy out in Seattle who definitely hooked me up! Highly reputable and well versed. However, after erasing and coding my moded EPROMS with the Hyper Fighting code, my C Board went on the fritz!! We determined it was the C Board by using two of his Street Fighter CE boards. Unfortunately both of his C boards had varying graphical problems as well. His C board (from another capcom game) that was operational didn’t have a kick harness but the picture and game played to perfection.
So on to my dilemma;
All three boards (A, B, C) are operational and the game plays fine, but, I have vertical lines on the screen from the time I turn it on until the time I turn it off. I did test another Jamma board (TMNT) and it played flawlessly. I have been on the look out for another working C board but was wondering if you have come across something like this?
Do C boards generally go out?
Do you know of anyone who has a working C board?
It’s great that I have Hyper Fighting but painful to play! I’ve attached a picture and a short video. Again thanks for all of your help! Soon I’ll be in need of your podcast because I’m running through them all like water! I need (scratching my neck) my arcade repair & tips podcast!

Yes, I have seen this problem before. Unfortunately I’m not exactly sure how to solve it. Sometimes reseating the A, B and C boards will fix this issue. You should also check for any bent pins and cold solder joints on the interboard connectors.

Seems like this type of issue is pretty common on CPS-1 games as a whole (not just the C board). These boards play many popular arcade titles and ended up being put through the ringer because of it. Many of these boards probably have the car equivalent of 500,000 miles on them.

Nope, but you can always give KLOV and eBay a shot. You might even buy a non-working street fighter board as it may have the working C board that you need.
