Street Fighter EX2 board
Question from Dave: Hello, I hope you can help me. I have a Street Fighter EX2 jamma board and I’m trying to access the game settings. I had my machine serviced a few years back and I remember the tech using a multimeter on the pinouts to access the menu but I don’t remember how he did it. I’m trying to change the difficulty and free play. If you have any idea how to help me that would be great 🙂 Cheers, Dave

Response from Jonathan: Dave,
The tech that came out to your house probably used a stripped wire to jumper pin 15 on the parts side to a ground point in your cabinet. Pin 15 is the pin that allows you access to the test mode of the game. Now, we recommend wiring up a test mode button so that you don’t have to jumper the wire every time you want to gain access to it. Wiring up the test mode button is pretty much the same process that you would use to wire up any other button in your cabinet. You just need the wire coming from pin 15 on the parts side and a ground wire. You can access a ground wire by either running one all the way from the harness or connecting to one that’s close to where you want to put your test mode button. Please check out our post on Wiring A Push Button for more information. Since your game is JAMMA, you might also want to refer to our JAMMA harness pinouts so that you can locate a ground for your test button. Please let us know if you have any additional questions and we’ll try to help you out further.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
