Street fighter
Question: Hi. I just got the arcade game Street fighter and it has color but the whole background is all green. Also, the color fades and comes back when you move the arcade machine but the background is still green. Any suggestions? It has two different set of knobs to move which are right behind the monitor. Are those the colors?

Response from Jonathan: From your description, it sounds like you are having some board issues. Street Fighter 2 boards are known to have ROM issues due to the amount of play they got back in the day. You will probably need to replace some of the ROM chips that are related to the background. It could also be related to your RAM as well but it’s hard to tell without doing some tests on the board.
With that said, it might be cheaper to buy another board than to repair this one depending on the issue. You might check eBay and some of the different arcade forums to see if you can get your hands on another one. You might also try contacting our friend Raymond at ArcadeComponents.com. He’s very good at repairing boards and might be able to give you more information on the issue.
