Top Speed game Freezes
Question from Jarvis: I have a Top Speed game that freezes after a few minutes of play. Everything in this machine is old but nothing looks to be in bad visible shape. I have cleaned the interior of the machine and removed all of the dust and dirt. The power supply also does not seem to be overheating. Could you give me some ideas to check. Thanks.

Sounds like either a board or a power supply issue. We would start off the repair by checking the power supply and making sure the voltages are correct. Check out our posts on Checking A Classic Power Supply and Checking And Replacing A Power Supply for more information. If you try adjusting the power supply but still cannot get the voltages in the correct ranges then it might be a good idea just to replace the power supply altogether. Most power supplies are fairly inexpensive to replace and having a new power supply should guarantee that the voltages getting to your board are correct.
