Wells Gardner K7203 Vertical Scroll
Question from Sean: I have a new to me Wells gardner 7203. I installed it in an old Galaxian cabinet but am using an ArcadeSD multigame board, which is jamma. The display appears to be rapidly scrolling from left to right. I can not find a Hold adjustment on the chassis or on the schematic. I hope you can help.

You might double check your wiring. If I remember correctly, the K7203 is one of the few monitors that has the wires connected a bit differently. Here’s how it should be according to the manual:

Pin 1 – Video Ground
Pin 2 – Video Ground – WHITE
Pin 3 – Video Sync – BLUE/ WHITE
Pin 4 – Video Blue – BLUE
Pin 5 – Video Green – GREEN
Pin 6 – Video Red – RED
Notice that the sync wire comes before the ground wire. Most monitors have it the other way around so make sure that those wires are correct. You might also check your chassis to see if there is an empty place where a potentiometer used to be. It could be that the adjustment knob fell off and you will need to replace it.
