Wells Gardner K7400
Question from Todd: I’m helping a friend with his arcade cabinet and doing all the legwork. I’m interested in having you repair a newly acquired WGM2474-U4TS16Q Wells Gardner K7400 monitor. When turned on it makes a faint clicking sound and does not display anything on the screen. No Neck Glow. I’ve checked continuity on the fuse next to the AC input on the chassis. Also, continuity checked the two fuses on the base of the isolation transformer in the bottom of the cabinet as well. All are good. Using a multimeter I checked the voltage coming from the isolation transformer to the AC Input harness on the chassis on the monitor end and it appears to be getting 130v. I do see a bulging capacitor on the chassis. How much would it cost to send the neck board and chassis to you for repair? How long would it take? Thank you. Todd

Response from Jonathan: Todd,
Unfortunately we are not taking any mail-in monitor repairs at this time but we do have several people we recommend. Chad at arcadecup.com is a very reputable guy and has a pretty fast turn around time. You could also contact our friend Arthur at highscoresrepair.com. He has answered several questions on our Facebook page in the past and definitely knows what he’s doing. There is a list of additional monitor repair technicians on our resources page under the Monitor Repair Services & Information heading as well.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
