Question from Nienke: HI! Great website with a LOT of information. Really awesome! I have a question for you guys: I have a Mortal Kombat 1 arcade cabinet, but it isn’t working properly anymore. It has a few problems now.. 🙁 First of all the monitor isn’t working anymore. When turning it on after a few months the monitor wouldn’t come on and the picture disappeared into the middle of the screen (like when a tube switches off). Now, you can hear the game starting but the monitor doesn’t display anything anymore. The lamp on the back is on and you can see it glowing but nothing. The sound is also at a very very low volume you can barely hear it. I guess this has nothing to do with the monitor problem, but it’s strange still.

Update: Hi, I am having a problem with a Wells Gardner K7000 series monitor (25 inch) out of a Mortal Kombat 1 dedicated cabinet. I am from the Netherlands and can’t find anyone in my area who is able to repair old tubes (most of them only LCD/TFT). It would be great if you maybe could give me advice about how difficult it is to fix this or that I better look for another tube. Maybe you know someone from here? There aren’t many arcade enthusiasts around here it seems. Well, here is the problem. The monitor in this cabinet always worked but now suddenly it doesn’t anymore. When you turn it on, the lamp on the neck glows and you hear the little beep noise like always but nothing comes on. Not even after having it on for a long time. When you turn it off, a big white square collapses into the middle until you only see the three RGB colors left and then they fade until the screen is black again. Nothing really unusual but no image at all. I hope you maybe can give me some advice that really would be great! Thanks in advance, Nienke
