Question from Joey: hi i am new to fixing and repair arcade i have a atari cabnet had mortal kombat 3 in it tor out all the old wire got a new jamma loom and my 1315 in 1 KE Jamma Board, 3.06GHz P4, 512 Mb

i have looked up info on puting the loom wires were they should go and each loom seem kinda difrent now i have some pics and videos but i was wondering u should make a video on total cabnet rewireing
i have all the button and joystick wires in a bundle togather and the video plug to the side so what i need to know is the speaker wires i asume are the white ones there are two green i have been told the green are coin 1 and 2 i asume they pluge in to the bottom of the coin door so it will tell when a quarter has been put in the other wires are a red a orange two grounds and a yellow that is tied in with the 12v+ on the power swicher i dont know were they go i had the two buttons on the inside a green and black buttons do i need to install them one sed coin other sed test and i tryed wireing th coin door let me know if u can tell if it right plezz help i need all i can get thanks joey

Looks like what you’ve got there is a pretty standard JAMMA+ wiring setup. JAMMA+ is just like JAMMA with an added kick harness. Your main harness will used the standard JAMMA pinouts. Here’s a link to them if you don’t already have them: http://www.arcaderepairtips.com/jamma.html. Use these pinouts to tell which wires go to what parts in your cabinet. Based on the pictures you sent it looks like the side of your harness with the Japanese writing is the parts side. All you have to do is determine which side of the harness you’re on (parts or solder), look at that side on the pinouts list and count over from pin 1 to determine which pins go where. Just repeat this process until all the wires on the JAMMA harness are connected to the correct parts of your cabinet.
The kick harness is a little bit different but the process is still the same. According to the diagram on Paradise Arcade’s site (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/140-347-thickbox/1315-in-1-jamma-multiboard-306-512mb.jpg), your extra buttons (buttons 5 & 6 for both players) come off of a kick harness to the side of the main harness. Just repeat the same process as you did with the JAMMA harness. Use the ground wires from your main JAMMA harness on the ground prongs on the switches of these buttons.
