2004 Golden Tee Issue
Question from Steve: Hi Guys, I have a 2004 Golden Tee with a monitor issue I was hoping you could help give some insight on. I still have sound and can play the game. Sometimes the picture is there and I can usually unplug and plug back in. Here is what it looks like when I have my issue. Any thoughts?

Response from Jonathan: Steve,
It looks like you’re experiencing some sort of sync issue with your Golden Tee 2004 monitor. It’s possible that the sync wire that runs from your board to your monitor is not making a good connection. It could have come out of the connector, it could have been cut or damaged over time, the pin that the wire connects to could need some solder touch up on the monitor chassis, etc. Make sure you check these areas for issues. If you do end up removing the monitor chassis from your cabinet, you might try looking for cracked or cold solder joints on it while you have it out as these can cause issues such as this.
You might also try adjusting your monitor to see if it helps your issue. Check out our post on Adjusting An Arcade Monitor for more information. Try the frequency and/or sync adjustments on your monitor (if it has them) to see if it makes a difference in your picture.
If the problem continues after trying the suggestions above then it’s possible that some electronic parts could have died on your monitor chassis. The most common monitor in most Golden Tee cabinets is the Wells Gardner K7000 series. At this point, it’s a good idea to compare your chassis to the pictures on the What’s My Monitor page by Bob Roberts so you know exactly what monitor is in your game. Please let us know what monitor chassis you have and we’ll try to give you a better diagnosis of what’s going on with it.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
