Golden tee
Question from Jordan: Hello. I got a Golden Tee 2005 Fore game yesterday. The screen for the game is too wide. I went into the settings but I can’t figure out how to adjust the screen. I was wondering if you could help? Also, the colors are off especially in the top left and bottom left corners like a rainbow of colors. Thanks.

Response from Jonathan: Jordan,
Screen size is usually controlled by the monitor chassis which is attached to the monitor tube inside your cabinet. There are some adjustment knobs on the back called potentiometers (or pots) that you should be able to turn in order to change the picture. Check out our post on Adjusting An Arcade Cabinet for more information. With that said, sometimes there is not an adjustment knob for screen width (or horizontal width). If this is the case with your monitor then you may need to adjust the horizontal width coil in order to adjust this setting. Check out our post on Adjusting The Horizontal Width Coil for more information.
Discoloration in certain areas of the monitor can be caused by magnetic fields playing havoc with the shadow mask on your arcade monitor tube. Sometimes rotating the cabinet 90 degrees or moving the arcade cabinet with the game powered off can help this issue. If you continue to have problems with discoloration then you might consider purchasing a degaussing coil. Check out our post on Using A Degaussing Coil for more information.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
