MORTAL KOMBAT!!!
Question from Jeremy: Hi. I got my first arcade game from a guy for $150 dollars yesterday! The game is Mortal Kombat. Some of the buttons don’t do as they should. Low kick blocks and low punch low kicks instead. High kick, high punch, and block all do what they are supposed to do. I’m new at this but I feel like I can fix it myself with the proper know-how. First off, congrats on getting your first arcade game. Sounds like you got a great deal.
As for your question, Mortal Kombat is a JAMMA game so you will need to get familiar with the JAMMA wiring standard in order to troubleshoot your button issues. Our post on Wiring A Push Button has some great information as well. Also, we highly recommend checking out the manual for the game as this will have more details about the wiring than we cover in our posts and videos.
