My brother bought a galaga arcade machine and has fixed the circuit board and when we turn it on it comes up a blue screen but says the credits and game over etc. but is not working. Would you have any insite what the problem may be. Thank You very much.

    Philip,

The blue screen issue you are having sounds to us that it might be related to your circuit board, however, this could also be a monitor issue. If you are getting all of the usual Galaga sprites and the game looks like it could be playable then we would lean more towards a monitor issue. If, however, you are missing some game sprites then you might have a circuit board issue. Might check the blue drive on the monitor to see if that gets rid of the blue that you are seeing on your monitor. Also, some pictures or a video of this problem would help us a lot in troubleshooting it.

We have also featured your question on episode 3 of our Q&A podcast. Please listen to it for more of our thoughts on your issue. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
