Killer Instinct white screen fail is Like wizzing on a electric fence!!!

I have the same issue with my KI 1 board, it’s definitely not the monitor or wiring since i have 5 other games (including 2 sega w/ adapter harness) that play perfectly fine.

By white screen if you mean white almost perfectly horizontal lines with orange lines vertical in the background, i don’t believe it’s your hard drive either (if it was the drive would almost definitely make some terrible noises like clunking ect)…

I also had an upgraded Boot Prom on my KI board with a 3.5″ hard disk, lucky for me i saved my original 2.5″ laptop drive and original eprom. i swapped them back in and got no change what so ever which is extremely frustrating.

I’ve tried everything i can think of including testing the 5v lines on my edge connector and on the board getting 5.045v on each. Sometimes i can get it to the blue screen where it just loops but not 100% of the time.

It’s as i said extremely frustrating, especially since this is one of my absolute favorite childhood games and they are getting very expensive to replace. i’m currently looking for someone/someplace that will repair/clean/test this board as i would hate to see 1 less out there.

To the guy that got an 80$ Dedicated cabinet: i think i saw your vids, i shake my fist at how lucky you are!! goodluck with it and enjoy it!

    excellent podcast, great info!
